In this part of the world, it doesn't get much better than Vanderbilt Hospital.

I spent a couple weeks at Baptist hospital in Nashville many moons ago when I fell of the interstate bridge over the Harpeth (sp?) River out west of Nashville.

That was 1 of only 2 trip "to Nashville" I have ever made. Many times through.

I will forward this info to the wife. She is there now.

Thanks guys.

I've gone to Nashville 3 times recently for a software convention. I spend my free time down on lower Broadway listening to live music in the honky tonks. I've eaten some BBQ down there, too. Never seen a fight and most folks are friendly.

We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

I enjoyed it. Went to the hall of fame, Broadway. Lots of bridle parties and music. A bit crazy, but fun for a short visit. Everyday is Friday night it seems. Ate at Florida Georgia Line....or should I say Florida Georgia Lame...

Met up with my nephew who lived there and he took us to a local spot for lunch which was good. Some sorta meat company place.

I’d go back for a day or two....

This place is goooood......

I was there yesterday. Disappointed somewhat, as they didn't have anything in stock that I went to see.

Tarkio, YEARS ago, we went to Fort Campbell, it's on the Kentucky/Tenn Border and not real far from NAshville. Depending on her conference and how much time you have, drive to Land Between the Lakes. I don't remember the time it took but I do remember the restored homestead and was most impressed.

I have always wanted to visit LBL, ever since reading Willie J.Parker's game warden books years ago. Have to put it on my short list next time I am trying to drive fast enough to not get runned over on I-40 through that part of TN.

I live about 30 minutes from LBL, and used to go there a lot. I've hunted and fished there, camped, and visited. It's okay, nothing really special. They do have an area that you can drive through, where they have an elk and bison herd, and there are some big bull elk in there. I've never hiked any there, so can't comment on that. There are some attractions that are pretty neat.

As far as just driving through and viewing the scenery, it's nothing on the scale of what you see in the Virginia and Smoky Mountain region.

Nashville is fun! Hattie B's is a must and their sides are better than Princes. If you can swing it take in a performance at the Grand Old Opry. It is awesome.
