My wife likes to visit the kids more than I do so she gets a first class plane ticket every now and then (for her comfort, of course) and I get to stay home. Its a pretty good deal and she actually felt guilty about the expense and encouraged me to go on a fishing or hunting trip. II havent punched the guilt ticket or admitted how good a deal it is for me.

I use one of each the whole week when the wife is gone..........I got better things to do than wash the damn dishes!!

I used one each for four years between marriages. In that four years the dish washer seized up, I never used it. My current wife couldn't believe how miserly I was.

I picked my wife up at the airport today. She was gone for three weeks visiting her family in the Philippines, had a good visit, and was glad to be home. I am just damned glad she is back and ready for things to get back to normal around here. Hang in there Gunner. You know I'm laughing with you, not at you. She'll be back before you know it.

My wife is gonna be gone for a week in August for training. I'm not sure what I'll do with myself.

If it rains, I will probably deep clean the house after work. If it doesn't rain, I'll be trying to keep up with the yard. I may drink excessively while doing these tasks, however .

Exciting life we live when we get older, huh? smile

LMAO....šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ˜Ž

Iā€™m batchā€™n it too right now...Just me and the dog doing what two dudes do best while the wifeā€™s away. Making a serious mess of the house...kitchen is providing ready to eat meals from leftovers the wife made...Toilet seats are up, beds not made. Gun safes are open with rifles laying on the kitchen counter, table and loveseat and the wonderful smell of Hoppeā€™s #9 replacing potpourri.

Anyone know how to get gun oil stains outta carpet?

I look forward to some "alone time" when my crew goes on a girl trip. I was a bachelor until I was 39, so I'm used to it. If we didn't have pets to take care of, I'd go on a man-cation while they are gone.

That was my life for the last ten or so years before retirement four years ago. I was alone in, generally, not great places. When I got home I spoke nothing of work. When I retired we both thought "uh oh", full time together every day... Well, thankfully we have sorted it and I do know all is best when she is home. Minutes ago, here in north Idaho, we were outside under the front porch about to go to bed and a pretty healthy thunderstorm passed. We stayed up and enjoyed it.

Meat, beer, water, coffee.
Tha that my menu when left alone.
The kitchen is cleaner than when everyone is here.
If I'm not drinking from a can, its out of the yetti coffee cup.
A plate, and silverware. Takes 3 minutes to do my dishes and wipe things down.
1 towel, 1 washcloth.

Amazing how 4 people make 10 times the mess of 1.

I have a very good wife for me.
Not perfect. (Closer than me though)
If she wasn't here, I can't imagine wanting to bother with another.
I hear about wives at work, I honestly wouldn't last a week with most.

That is part and partial the prob-lem-o. It is new carpet....Yeah, Iā€™m thinking flowers and a spa day for her, or I cut out the stains with a carpet knife and convince her the dog did it. Theyā€™re small stain holes for Gawd Sakes. šŸ˜Ž

I hear Florida is nice. I don't buy it, but that's what I hear.
