The classic around here is the 4x4 or ATV with Wench.

Dad used to say warsh and waint (wash, wait), but grew out of it. MIL still says cagister (cash register), ambliance, and compooter, among other things that would get bleeped here.

I have an odd sort of bigotry toward adults who, in this modern age, still say nucular. So many people who talk for a living (politicians and reporters) still doing it, repeatedly. They all should be fired if they won't take correction.

Yeah, I picked up the habit of saying hook (rhymes with spook).

My Dad rode a Harley throughout Europe in WW2, always called it a "motorsackle" and it had a scabard for a Tummie gun. I was amazed years later when I got my first 1911 how deftly He poked holes in things from the hip and cross body shots. When I got The Tummie Gun a couple years before He died and we went shooting I couldnt believe how He chewed stuff up, .... 50 years after the war. Never spoke about the War, except for the Sackle..

I was in Sikeston MO years ago, eating at Lamberts. An older fellow and his wife were at the next table, and he asked us where we were from. He said he was a farmer from Minnesota, and he raised kern and howgs.

Couple I can think of off the top of my head that my Dad still says is Xenex for Cenex and instead of thumb it's his tumb finger.

Here in Wyoming the common pronunciation for “creek” is “crick”. I had to ask a friend who said that once would a “deep” creek be a dip crick?
