Sam, that's quite the setup!
I bet you can hear that motor running for a good distance too...

Guessing that's your dad there, is he hard of hearing? That engine's gotta be tough on the ears.

Dryer than a popcorn fart here in northern North Dakota. Early crops are ok but later ones are sucking hind tit. Glad I quit four years ago. Good luck Sam. Ed k

I'm curious. What is the function of the small hose coming off the exhaust stack? Looks like it might go to the pump intake, but I can't tell for sure.
Thanks Jerry

Barry, when the wind is right(or calm) I can hear it 2 miles up river at the other pump site. Mule, it only runs at 1400rpm and it's actually not bad at all up close. Nice solid purrrrrrrr to it. ERK, it was dry here but we got a nice .91" thundershower Sunday night. Mike, it's easy until something breaks. Paul, the hemp is smoldering out in the garage......lol Rooster, it's a green jungle for mid-August! Lee, we have rights/permits. Jerry and brother Jim, primer line indeed. And sometimes it is a bitch to get them primed up and running. Lower the river the harder it can be. No air leaks! Dewy this morning on the weed farm.

The other evening I was moving siphons and noticed two had stopped flowing and the ditch was also way down.
A new deer crossing upstream on the ditch.
Had to stop the pump and repair the next day.
Almost washed out an OLD section of ditch. And we'd checked it twice, fricken herd of whitetails crossing and they tromped it out.

The benefit of getting up early on Sunday. Sam - awesome pics of some of my favorite country - thanks! Are you seeing many Huns, Sharptails and Roosters this summer?
