Believe it or not, paddler serves more purpose here than deflave. Having a raving lunatic with a bad idea in his head to debate, gives you a foil to hone your own beliefs against. It clarifies your own concepts and helps put into words the truths you believe.
I have a friend who is a die hard communist, that I debate regularly. I never let him win any argument based on political views, and it keeps my wits sharp and my justification for my views foremost in my own mind. I can debate him and defend my position in the face of his MSN nonsense.
Deflave, on the other hand, choses to play the bafoon, shout "COCK" in most threads, and some folks find him entertaining. I'm sure he has some sort of value, but it's difficult to find. At least he can serve as a bad example to others.
I'd rather have an opponent to debate rationally, than a fool to just tell "GFY".
At times, deflave will show some merit, some charm, some of the intelligence he clearly possesses, but it is usually covered in junior high school behavior.
At least with paddler, there is nothing to like, lies to counter, views to destroy, and no emotional baggage involved with ripping his nonsense apart. It's muscle memory for the mind.

Paddler is one of the few good ones in the Campfire section. I'd rather Rick Bin "flush" all the racists, homophobes, xenophobes, and other undesirable elements. There's no excuse to merrily use racial slurs to refer to black people or Muslims, homophobic slurs, etc. Yet I see it all the time. F-A-G

Being a fellow Californian, I have had many debates on this site, sometimes heated debate, but this Douchebag isn’t here for debate, he is here to enflame and troll the members on this site.
Do the right thing and dump this liberal troll, we shouldn’t have to endure his BS anymore over a sense of open debate, and differences in opinion, he does neither, he throws burning bags of dog schitt around on this site, it’s getting old.
I would be the first to defend opposing points of view, but read his NRA statement if you don’t think he is trolling your fine site. I’m sick of his leftard mouth. You could simply ignore him. Those who feed him are just as much to blame and right now you're giving him exactly what he wants. Opening Paddlers threads is like drug addiction to some. If you allow "Those types" to get under your skin they have gained some traction.....The ignore feature is a very useful tool, in my senior years I try to navigate away from people, conversations or situations that could / would cause me stress. IMO

I appreciate the fact the Rick allows us to say what's on our minds, even if it means that the liberals get to say what's on theirs. There are a few posters on here, conservatives by the way, who are azzholes in the first degree and go out of their way to attack other posters, so if you're going to want posters banned because you don't agree with their politics, then the same should apply to the azzholes as well.
The best thing to do is to just put them on ignore if you don't like what they post, and let Rick continue to let us vent.

If I guy can pass up food or drink he doesn't like the taste of why is it so hard to scroll past a post he knows he'll disagree with? I do every time I visit this website. Self control and discipline is all it takes.
