How does that Bergara shoot? I like what I hear.

Load I worked up for my Brother, just trying to see if it liked 120's.

a great round for a few reasons, I would opt for a 26 Nosler, the 6.5/284, the 264 Win, and yep, even a 6.5/300 Bee to avoid commonality...........I can afford barrel replacements....LOL...

UH OOOOOH,,,, You gonna burn yo barrel out soon....Not at 40-80 rounds per year............

Had one but sold it. Kept the 6.5 Swedemoor instead. Prefer 6 Creedmoor to both of them.....

Have 6.5-284 and 26 Nosler. Most barrel wear was working up loads. Agree that hunting use isn’t gonna burn barrels.

You might get it by June of next year.

I've got two, a Kimber Montana and a Ruger Precision. To me it's the perfect chambering for the Montana, shoots great, doesn't kick too much and has plenty of penetration for what I do at the ranges I do it.

The RPR has about 1,900 rds on it, the next barrel will be either a 6 Creed or another 6.5, haven't decided yet. The 6.5 lasts longer and does well out to my maximum range of 1k, but I do feel the allure of the 110gr 6mm laser for pure target work.

No better or worse than the Ruger. Which is pretty good, but it does look better. Only bullets I've used are 143 gr ELD-X's and 140 gr Barnes Match Burners. I don't even shoot at 100 anymore. At 200 yards 1"-1.5" 5 shot groups are the norm.

The Bergara is a touch heavier than I'd like, close to 8 lbs scoped, but for what I use it for is not a problem.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Only two now, for now. Love the mild mannered sweet shooting cartridge.

I have two, both built by Jon Beanland. They are both superb. Very well behaved cartridge that, in spite of all the haters, has a lot going for it.

I have one, but it doesn't hunt- it's a match rifle!
I save the hunting bullets for the 6.5/284 :>)

I have two, both Winchester. Both are ridiculously accurate and eat anything you feed ‘em, 120-147gr so far and neither rifle cares.

Easiest cartridge to load for and a ton of different factory ammo loadings are more accurate in these off-the-shelf rifles then my pet handloads are in custom jobs.

No kick, no fuss, and kills stuff like crazy.

I’m now itching for a 6.5 PRC or maybe even the new 6.5 Wby RPM to wring out some long, sleek bullets I’m starting to like in the Creedmoor.

What could be a sadder way to end a life than to die having never hunted with great dogs, good friends and your family?
