Nope. I have a 6.5 Remington mag for my wife in a 763 guide gun and a savage f class rifle in 6.5-284. Figure I got that pretty much covered . Nothing against the creed but have no need. Ed k

Got a few 6's, and 22CM's though. Actually more than a few.

I bought a Savage 12 FV last spring in 6.5 C it is a shooter. I like to find another 6.5 C in the 7-8# range for hunting. I have a 260,a 6.5x55 and a 264 WM. What I need is an inexpensive 6.5 PRC that shoot 1/2" costs less than $500 and comes with a maintenance woman who is appealing and has other uses. Ah hell what I really need is a Powerball win...……...

So far I have avoided buying one by the cunning tactic of keeping myself broke buying other stuff, like this:

I did buy a 6 though, before I came up with that idea.

Got a .223, .243, .270, .308, the 6mm, and an '06, plus some others. Think I've got it covered pretty well.

I'm impressed. Not everybody on this forum is willing to admit that they both have a man bun and wear skinny jeans.

Very honorable purchases Pappy. I have a couple 6.5X 55s and a 260. Why do I need a creed?

Nope, I'm full up on the original CM, 250-3000. I did find 18 empties and 1 unfired factory CM round at the range yesterday. This way I'll have brass if anyone in the family caves for the hype

I've got a stainless Mountain rifle in a McMillan edge fill in 260. I think that has the 6.5 well covered. Although I'm sure at some point I'll wind up with one.

I built a 6.5X55 on a Ruger #3 frame, 24" 8 twist Pac Nor. Shoots!
Bought 26" 6.5X55 Custom Shop TC Encore barrel for my Encore. Shoots!

Why do I need a 6.5CM?

Bought one. Kimber Hunter, 22" barrel, 8 twist. LOVE IT!
120 NBT @ 3000fps with 44.7 IMR 4451. Clover leafs. (3 leaf clover)
The gun is more accurate than I am. My 80 yr ole bones do well to shoot 5 inside an inch.

Don't have one.

How many Creeds does it take to equal a .50 BMG?

Well, I do not have a 6.5 Creed. I have a .260 Rem that is giving me fits, and a 6.5 Grendel I built from PSA upper and lower. Shoots like a dream! If the .260 Rem doesn't come together, it's going down the road soon hopefully.

Don't and won't. The most tempted I've been is the Ruger No. 1-AH, but I just can't bring myself to drink the Kool Aid....

I have a savage 12fv in 6.5 was to good of a deal to pass up. It shoots really well. I’m pretty ashamed to admit that I also own a 270 although it’s not scoped and I don’t plan on scoping it until it gets transformed into a 25-06.

Nope. Guess I am too blind to see what is spectacular about a 140 at 2700 or a 120 at 3000. It catches a lot of others out past 600, but other than steel, I don’t shoot that far, and the round doesn't pack enough punch out that far to make me comfortable using it on game if I hunted it at such ranges. I see the draw for targets at distance, although there are rounds that do that more and better, too(admittedly not many in that recoil range).

What I don’t get are all the people hunting with it. What does it do better than a 7-08 or a 243 on game? I could see some using it, just like some use any other cartridge. What is weird is the cult following it has, even among folks who will never shoot it past 200 yards. I cannot understand what makes it better for that than a 243, 7-08 or dozens of other short action cartridges.

I have one I bought off the board here. After extensive load development it puts 3 Scenars into a hole. I took it to one local factory gun match and, won with it. It's comical how guys have derangement syndrome over the cartridge though. To me it's a light cartridge with a modern case design. It's accurate, and there's alot of factory ammo, and plenty of quality brass available. It's got quite a following, but it ain't anything magical. Rather sloooow in my book, but I bet eastern whitetail won't notice.
