I have a very good condition rifle, I think it's a Tanger, need to confirm.
I not a lefty, I don't watch their prices.

So, is this more, less, or the same value as a rightly.

Thanks for any help.

Karl

Ruger didn't make the original Model 77 -- "tanger," in your metrosexual parlance -- in a "lefty." The Model 77 Mark II and Model 77 Hawkeye are the only iterations of Model 77s offered in left-handed versions.

Ok, I could have typed out a bunch of stuff, you knew what I meant.
Successful communication.

It's been in the safe for almost a decade, and it wasn't convient to look at it.
I was thinking about buying a new rifle, maybe a Montana, and that gun popped in
my head. I have no use for it, and a few I never use.
They could move out to make room for something worthwhile, and to
make something a bit expensive easier on my tightwad conscience.

I’d say, depending on condition, it’s worth $500 - $600.

The left hand version always retailed for $50 more than the right hand version, that’s how Ruger priced them.

They are nice, utilitarian rifles, much nicer than any of the plastic stocked Remington 700 SPS or Savage 110 rifles sold today. Most Ruger 77s had fairly plain, straight grained walnut with very little figure. But, every now and then one would escape the factory with a really nice piece of wood on it.

Post some pics, let us see what you have.

I could possibly be interested or may know somebody that would be interested.

Will try tomorrow, but I probably won't get good pics.
Will see if any work out.
