National Licensing. License only good for one gun. Must be renewed every 5 years. Absurd red flag provisions built in. Can be red flagged for speech, buying ammunition, being involved in a civil court case, or anything the AG can come up with. No real due process to get your guns back.

The democrats want socialism, and socialism will never fly with an armed population. Their ultimate goal is to control every aspect of your life, from conception to death. Remaining reminds me of NY State (19 million people) where you have to apply to be allowed to purchase every single handgun individually under MAY issue circumstances. Traveling through NY State with a handgun? Unloaded locked in a case in the trunk and don’t even think about stopping for the night. Comply with all that and you STILL can be arrested and charged because it’s a defense to prosecution not a defense to arrest.
IIRC you have to apply individually to purchase every handgun in New Jersey too, but be aware that in New Jersey possessing even a single round of hollowpoint handgun-caliber ammunition is a felony.

This is how they win. It's an incremental thing. They demand wild things and settle for a compromise that allows them what they will accept. The republicans run around claiming they won by caving and giving in to that all important "bipartisan" vote that is so important to them and WE LOOSE. So we're going to get something shoved down our throats like it or not. Magazine capacity ban? Red Flag Law? Whatever , it's going to be something to appease the democrats so they'll shut up.
I left NY State 35 years ago in a large part because of their gun laws. Used to be there was a tremendous complacency down here in Texas as in “that could never happen here” .
