I love my 365XL! I don’t think they could improve anything more for me. JMO

With irons you can see both front and rear and the way to alignment is clear.

Which is similar to any RDS-type sight. Use the rest of the handgun to index the sight - the silhouette of the frame, the side of the slide, etc. I have not used the Sig/Meprolight sight, but I suspect it's like a RDS that becoming accustomed to the sight includes learning to present the handgun already aligned.

I'm not convinced either, but I'm definitely interested and will be checking one out. One of my hopes is the sight, like a RDS, will reduce blurry irons without the gadgetry of a RDS.

Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense.

I use a Canik tp9sfx with a Delta point on it for shooting fun and games. The "channel" site Mepros in the sig, does not have the "forgiveness" that the MOSs have. The dot on the Delta can be anywhere in the "screen" and still get a hit.
The sig looks to have a very narrow window of opportunity.

If you care about being able to run the slide one handed using a properly shaped rear sight . . . probably not your cup of tea.
Not advocating one way or the other. Just an observation.
