I sure could go for some $2.50/gal gas and a mean tweet!

I once goosed a CO. young mule deer buck with the tip of my flyrod as it came sneaking by looking to see where I'd gone to.

Pat McManus described the result perfectly with his FBLP (Full Bore Lineal Panic). Straight ahead, bounced off a tree, new direction, bounced off a brush patch, last seen as a streak going in still a third direction..... 10,000 feet of elevation didn't slow it at all. smile

Almost 40 years has passed and I still laugh when I think of it.

Cool video.

I once caught a bat on a fly rod. Landed him with a 3lb leader. 🤠

I once caught a 6lb rainbow on my back cast. Also, after my fly snagged in a large bush, I pulled it free and it landed on the water and was grabbed by a 9-1/2lb brown.

The elk obviously weren't biting so I would have tried a different pattern.

I’d recommend an elk hair caddis. 😜
