Oh, I wasnt on that place, Neal. I meant I had been on several other good places the kids sold off after their Dad orGrandad died. One was the big McElroy ranch around Crane years ago that was owned by a fellow who had owned the Dr Pepper brewery in San Antonio. He also had several other ranches.

He had ranch families that had been living on the place working it for his family for 80 years, cattle and sheep. He died and the kids kicked them off and sold it to Chevron for about 4 times what they got paid in surface damages a year iirc.Unreal.

Chevron is very antigun. Some 40 inch wide muleys on their oil leases north of Imperial in the sandhills. I guess the cats and coyotes eat very well.

Oasis Ranch on Independence Creek and the Pecos River and the Circle Cross south of Cloudcroft and Hogg Sandhills ranch north of Monahans hurt too.

Consider Bloomberg and Soros. There ain't a thing in the world you can't phugg up if you've got enough cash.

Hell yes! Designated meat hunters, dove/quail drives, bring your dogs, a dozen trailer smokers, etc.

So let's see....250 of us Fire members pony up a million dollars each-on a 100 square mile ranch there ought to be room for all of us. No problem! I should be able to swing this if I just take an extra part time job-heck, I'll have that million dollars saved up in just a couple centuries!

Whilst living in Pampa some 30 years ago I lucked into a 91" Pronghorn not far from that spread. Pretty neat country up there.

If I was going to spend $250 million on a place, it sure as hell wouldn't be that place.

Don't know why it hasn't sold yet. These smaller ranches usually sell pretty quick.

If its anything like the surrounding area its way over priced. Nothing but tumble weeds up there.seems like they would have to almost give it away. Depressing just to drive thru the panhandle
