Tundra took over for the Far Side- in my mind I think Tundra is funnier. While I like Chad Carpenter's stuff quite a bit, Gary Larson is THE MAN!!!

Anyone remember Funky Winkerbean? I was taking HS chemistry at the time (mid 70's) and the one cartoon was "Hey, did you hear about the freak accident in the chemistry lab?" to which the reply was "No, was it a freak that we know?".

Far Side is by the far the best social commentary cartoon of my lifetime. Dilbert is also great.

He's about six years older than me so I never had anything to say to him, but we knew each other by sight. I'd never have guessed he'd be famous someday. His younger brother was about two years older than me, and an Asshole Supreme.
