Ex stole it- - - -along with everything else of value I ever had, and left me thousands of dollars in debt by buying a house full of appliances on credit while I was overseas and selling them. Gave all the money to her girlfriend! Jerry

Never thought of getting one. Never thought high school was worth wearing a ring over. Thought that way about college as well.
The only other ring I would wear other than wedding ring, if I earned it, would be a Super Bowl ring.

Let a girl wear it, she lost it. I wish that was all the opposite sex had cost me over the years

Never got one, kinda spendy for our disposable income back then. Not saying I couldn’t have gotten one if I really desired it, but just saw better uses for our money.
Didn’t buy the letter jacket either, though I had fair amount of bling to hang off of it, bought a good winter coat instead.
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

never knew anyone that got one for college. That would seem ghey.
Sorry EdM
Your post come in before mine. Nothing but my own opinion.
And I guess it's acceptable if it's a gift from parents.
Would never think of buying one for one's own self. That would be ghey

Mom insisted I get one. Took me to the jeweler, she mostly picked it out. Hardly ever wore it, I hated school, only went when the law required. Didn't do a bit more than required.
Same with yearbooks, mother insisted I get them. She was right about those. They are historical, and on rare occasions I look someone/something up in them.
Class rings aren't a big deal anymore. My oldedt daughter is in 11th, plays multiple sports, loves school. (WTF) She doesn't have much interest in them, the boys and girls don't exchange them. She would rather have a new bat.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

I still have mine but have not worn it since I went to college. I think it is in my wife's jewelry box. Wedding ring and watch are my two pieces of jewelry.

Haven’t seen mine in 45 years. Have no idea where it went. And don’t care. Had a leather and wool letter jacket. It was very nice. While in college I worked at a gas station and got it all stained and greasy, tossed it.

By the time I got to high school, I had come too far to quit. Hated almost every minute of it and did just enough to squeak by and get that stupid damned diploma. High school ring? Hell, no!
Lady in the office at community college seemed surprised that I did not want to spend $30 for a copy of my Associate Degree suitable for framing.
What the hell would I do with that?
Edit to add - Hey, I can be sentimental. I do have the release of lien letter from the bank framed on the wall in the entrance of my home - now that is an accomplishment I am proud of. 😀

Never owned one. No yearbooks. If I'd had my way, there would have been no Senior Pics either. Total waste of money. But Dad threatened to beat me half to death if I did not get in for retakes on the photos. Only jewelry a man should own...........watch and wedding ring.
One item in excess. Any ring is an invitation for a working man to lose a finger, or a hand.

Caught on a wire, skinned his finger. I learned from that! I stopped wearing a watch about 9 years ago, same thing- kept getting caught up on stuff at work. I caught myself looking at my wrist for the time just yesterday...

i still have my ring, class of '66, it's just that i couldn't put my hands on it at the moment.
i wear a watch and a wedding band. the band has been beaten senseless.
it's good to remember if snake bitten on the hand, to get the ring off before the swelling gets too far.

Pawned mine in Kadena Okinawa-----There was a local lovely that I couldn't resist! I never made it back from Naha to get it! Some of you will understand Gotcha loud and clear, Kenny. Lots of lovelies in that part of the World. Or so I've been told. I never got a class ring, couldn't come up with the $30.00 . Still have my Mother's class ring from the same school in 1925.

Never had one, couldn't afford it. Had my USMC ring stolen. That really pissed me off.

if a man speaks, and there isn't a woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?
