I think Saturdays are smoke dope and ride his Waverunner at the lake days.

Johnsongrass makes good hay. It's also not something I'd want in my hayfields, but if it's on someone else, it'd be okay.....lol.

Not many people around here, us included, have started on 2nd cutting yet. Stupid late.

We've got about 180 acres of alfalfa and imagine will have to let it freeze before we swath.

How are you good folks doing rain wise?
It just won't stop here.... Every other day, it rains.. Corn's still pretty wet but Tom's running anyway - we start again at 9 am today.. Moisture's been around 70%; ideal is about 62% (bunker sileage).. Every day, a wagon gets stuck. And the field I may have to open today is - even in dry years - a swimming pool.. So the log chain's gonna get a lot of use.. They're trying to buy a fifth wagon, but the weather's been so crappy that there's not ONE to be found in a 3-state radius.. The guys who normally run trucks for harvesting are buying the trailers so they can get into/around the fields..

Humidity's been in the upper 70s nearly every freaking DAY... I now have 3 dehumidifiers running constantly in an attempt to keep the house somewhat dry.. First time I've said this in years, but I now can't wait for winter... Only problem is, if this moisture pattern keeps up we'll be going in/out of the house via the second floor windows...

Worst weather, rain-wise, since '72.. And we've already set records for the wettest summer ever...

Even worse though, is the poor citizens of TX and LA having to deal with these unreal floods/rains.. Just damn......

The deck was wet when I let Lilly out. That hay may have to just rot in the windrow.

We had snow cover for so long last winter most guys used up all their hay very early on. I had exactly one bale left by the time the pastures came in good.
