Praying Mantis seem kinda smart in a bug sorta way.

Bout the only 2 insects that dont get the bootheel from me.

I put a walking stick on my buddy Neil while he was passed out drunk at the lake one time.

That thing was long as a pencil. Stayed on his hat for a couple hours. hahaha

He come alive when it crawled down the back of his neck. LAUGHING

When I was about 6, I was out with my mother and grandmother. She stopped for gas, and there was this huge preying mantis on the pump. She asked the fellow pumping the gas if he'd capture it for me, figuring we'd get it home and put it in a cage. That mantis latched on to the helpless pump jockey and proceeded to do a serious number on his right index finger. Yikes! I remember blood. It looked like he'd been sliced with razor blades.

I think mom flipped him a quarter tip.

We put the insect in a cricket cage and I spent the next month or two feeding her grasshoppers and katydids.

This thread beats the hell out of a political rant.
