I understand we have 50 people there. If removing these folks from the region causes as much death and devastation as is being predicted, then God help us all.
As for it being a surprise, Trump campaigned on this, and announced it last year. 50 people. That could be 3 SF A teams, a few CIA field ops, and 6 FAC's. The right 50 guys can facilitate a lot of damage.

These guts are great warriors, loyal and yet we are simply abondoning them again. WTF.
We should move them down to protect our sourthern boarder.. Because Trump is a worthless POS. The worst mistake anybody can make is to trust him. He will screw anybody if given the chance. I went in to instacare on the weekend while pregnant because I was having some pain and just hoping to hear a heart beat. The front desk took my co pay fully knowing I was pregnant and that was the reason for my visit. The Dr came in didn’t even say hello and just said you are pregnant, I won’t do anything for you and left the room. He managed to be extremely condescending in the exact 15 seconds he spent in the room. A week later I got a bill saying he had billed me for a visit. For doing absolutely nothing. Won’t be going back to ihc instacare in case he’s still employed. Avoid at all cost.

Since they wont put down their long standing hatred of each other over there I don't see any solution other than one side to wipeout the other. I understand also that their are many sides. If they want to have tribalism and kill each other then let them. I am 57 and I have seen little progress in the conflicts over there which have been issues all my life. I have only seen American blood and treasure expended and The hate for America for being involved. We are stupid to continue on the same course we have been on for 70 years.
What are the results???

From what I'm reading the number is under 100 troops, If that is the case then get them out, this could quickly become Trumps Benghazi, and we don't need any more of that, leave them weapons and food and get the hell out!

My Marine SIL did two tours in Iraq, right across the border from this area. He said they did not trust the Kurds anymore than the Iraqis. He is a quiet, no BS Recon Marine. There are no answers, so either kill them all/break things, or come home. Our Military is NOT the Peace Corp nor Nation Builders.
