Biggest devaluation in a gun in my battery, is not to shoot/hunt one of them. Let the next guy worry about collector value.

the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded. Robert E Lee ~Molɔ̀ːn Labé Skýla~

I haven't shot any of the pre-1940 Winchester for quite some time, just never seem to get around to it.

"Jim Jordan was hunting with his friend Egus Davis in Danbury, Wisconsin on November 20, 1914. A recent snowfall allowed the men to follow a fresh set of tracks, which ultimately led to the world-record buck. Jim shot the buck with his .25-20 Winchester rifle and later recovered the deer in the middle of the Yellow River." Yeah about 14 shots later

Now that is a slick old gun. I wish I still had eyes for.open sights. I'd get another model 94. The.94 has to be the easiest gun to tote I have ever hunted with.
