Tuners: I wish they weren't so ugly. I guess one that was barrel diameter would need to be overly long. Not sure if these would overcome the velocity window of some bullets as I suspect there are more factors after it leaves the barrel, but could be way off on that. Played around with a Boss but none of the others.

My take is a good load could be dialed in further but it wouldn't turn a bad load into a good one. Is this your experience too?

Until I bring up the 22-204 is a better mousetrap than a 223 Ackley for that very reason.......

22 250 water volume is 44
22 250ai is 46
6mm creed is 52

Is this data correct? All I could find...

I hunt/shoot with a 8 twist 243ai and 105s on a 700 action and PN bbl. Absolute monster of a combination. Built it when you had to build it to shoot 105s.

With what’s available today, I would do 6 Creed.

This. Shooting the same in a bartlein and 788 action. When I re barrel it will be to a 6 creed. It's a better mousetrap.

Maybe Remington will come out with a factory chambering 8 twist 6 creedmoor and 22 creed too.

I know the Fieldcraft is available in 21” bbl’d 6 Creedmoor.

Who else factory chambers 6CM?

The Christensen Arms actions are very nice looking. Haven't ever played with one though, outside of a cursory fondle at the gunshop.

The OP asked about the 243 and most are telling him about a different cartridge.
The 243 in a 10" twist will handle 105/107 gr bullets. The AI will net you 40-60 fps and never having to trim brass again. If I want to shoot 115gr bullets, I reach for a 25.
If you want performance look at the 6-284 or 6 Rem AI. If you want to go along with the crowd, get that creed thing. Bottom line is powder = fuel. The more powder capacity the more fuel you can burn. Much like an engine there does come a point where the next level in performance costs a bunch with only a small return.
