It's been my home state for forty years. If you like fishing, hunting, boating, camping, really anything out of doors it's a great place to live. The only part of the state I'd really avoid would be any of the bigger towns/cities SE of Madison. especially Janesville. I wish you’d promote that more within your state. On any given weekend Devils Lake and most of South East/Central ND is full of the most arrogant, entitled, rude, poaching, whiners easily ID’d by that white plate with the red stripe atop it. 0% common courtesy, 0% ethics. Even their law enforcement folks who come to ND are poachers. Democratic of you, giving away what ain't yours. If there were a vote by the sportsmen and women in ND, SD, MT, WY, CO, and ID. WI would be1st out. I have 0 problem with folks from other states coming here to hunt/fish. I have an enormous problem with people who believe they're owed something when they get here.

If you like the driftless area of SW WI. Keep in mind the driftless area in NE Iowa. Cool country. Personally, that is as far North as I can get. Winter is too long and too sucky.

Because you saw them empty out the Breaks? Lots of WA, OR, ND and MT plates out there. Very few WY and ID. The WI wave was awhile back. Most ND plates are pulling a $60k walleye boat.....

I have a friend in Devil's Lake.
Probably one of the best fishermen in town.

Because you saw them empty out the Breaks? The WI wave was awhile back They're like locusts, they infest, destroy, and move on. I truly wish ND G&F would at least have a few token game checks and wrist-slapping but they're not interested in game management nor poaching, just $$ from license fees. ~15yrs ago ND G&F had game checks @ Fargo and Bismarck airports on Monday after pheasant opener. Over 80% of the leaving hunters were cited for something. Mostly missing identification on the carcasses and/or 1-2 over the limit. Nothing egregious but G&F knocked that shiite out quick as it was all over the news souring public opinion. Someday I may get my arse whipped, as a matter of course, every vehicle I pass w/WI plates get the finger.
