My folks bought me a kit for Christmas last year. That was how I got started.
A stamp is a tool that makes an impression on damp leather. Use them to make designs.

My Grandfather's brother in law made him a set of saddlebags years ago. Probably 50 to 60 years ago. Bags were made by Bud and Sylvia Drewiak's Leathergoods. Earlier this year my dad gave the bags to Young Richard. The rawhide lace that keeps the halves together was rotten. Looked it up and figured it out....a Whip Stitch.
