Dang, that was quick. I expected this but not so fast.

A pity, I really like this pistol, a gift from a friend.

Picked up a nine round mag and an IWB holster at the gunshow last week, prob’ly gonna look for another mag next go-round.

Just sent off for a lefty OWB holster while they still had ‘em.

Should I be looking for replacement recoil springs too?

Turns out the XDs 9mm is essentially the same gun as the XDs .45 with a 9mm barrel/chamber and magazine, even the barrel dimensions are close.

No needs to worry about holsters anyhow.

Spare recoil springs and more magazines than you ever think you will need are good to have whenever a gun has been discontinued, if you like the gun enough and plan to shoot it a bunch.

I will have four mags and a extra set of springs when everything gets here.

Prob’ly pick up another one of each next month. My Glock 19 and S&W Mod 60 are both 25yo now, they work fine.

I’ll be lucky if I’ll be needing this one for another 25 crazy

This gun ain’t the smallest, nor the highest capacity, but then legions of Americans along with folks as diverse as Fairbairn and Cooper swore by 7 or 8+1 .45’s out of a 1911, while others guys like Jordan and Kieth made do with just 5 or 6.

Now we know what production line Springfield's using to build the Hellcat.

True, but I don’t believe the anecdotal effectiveness of various calibers has ever withstood statistical analysis. As one guy put it “every caliber works about like every other caliber”, this especially true given advances in bullet design.
