I’m really tempted but don’t believe warranty is still good on Pentax sport optics.

Warranty is as good as ever on Pentax sports optics - send to the designated Ricoh repair facility and they send them back fully repaired for $15 shipping.

Pentax warranty is good to go. I used it on a pair of SP series a couple years ago. They refurbed them to almost new. You send them a check for return shipping. They will accept either a receipt or just a signature saying you were original purchaser. They were one of the easier companies I have dealt with for warranty work.

agree; sent in a pair of DCF SP 8x32 last year when I bent an eyepiece. Back in two weeks looking like new. They even replaced some slightly scratched lenses.
