Agree that stock looks way too shiny. Would need to check the Rule and/or Whitaker books to verify the stamp. Looks like roll stamp with smaller letter hand stamp “300 Savage“. Bolt blue has a weird greenish hue to it, but may just be the lighting. You’d think the seller would want more than a handful of pictures to try and sell the thing for that price...

Agree the stock finish looks too shiny, don't see a problem with the bolt handle blue nor the caliber stamping. Still wishful thinking when it comes to the asking price, but who knows.

One thing for sure with every rare pre 64; someone will question the stamp doesn’t look right.

Indeed. On the other hand, if I paid $17K for a rifle I would drive there and pick it up.

I was thinking the same thing actually

Only difference i was thinking is anybody that would pay 17.5 for that rifle could probably take their airplane to pick it up

“We do not offer local and/or in store pickup.” There is an obvious reason for that....

“Our system is such we cannot supply tracking numbers, unless....” 17K and they can’t text you a tracking number?

It is the buyers responsibility to have a qualified gunsmith warrant the rifle to be safe, yet any disassembly voids their return policy.

Then there is this: Hold on, because this is classic....
“FYI, I am the only accredited, certified firearm appraiser in the USA and have 45 years experience” Believe that????

Instead of just looking at pics, you boys need to learn to read the small print. Honest, upfront dealers operate on a more professional level.

Legit or not, run Forest run....

Now, who still believes the Roger Rule line???
