Took my normal early morning walk around the bayou (6.2miles). Came back and showered then took the wife to lunch at Walk On's then went out back to see if the specs were biting. After 2 hrs of zero bites I came home and took a nap. Woke up and grilled a couple of Axis meat burgers for dinner. I'm drinking beer and watching LSU right now. I highly recommend retirement to everyone. Geaux Tigers

A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand but touches your heart !!!
Took my just turned 16 step grand daughter to her Sat. Morning Archery league at a local shop like I usually do on Sat. mornings, even during gun season for deer, otherwise I would have been out in the ladder stand. Did some laundry this afternoon while reloading 30-30 ammo with 170 gr. Speer F.P.'s & Leverevolution. What the heck.... I'm retired so I'll hunt most of this coming week.
Well, had coffee and breakfast two hours before dark thirty this morning, had an old 1886 40-65 stoked with 250gr cast lead flat noses launched with blackpowder and a belt rig loaded with a Colt SAA 45 also loaded with black powder and a Bagwell Damascus skinner ready to open Oklahoma modern gun season, rained till damn near noon, didn't do much but pile about a half rick of fire wood inside on the hearth and bricks, headed up the mountain around 1:30 with earlier said wares and hunted till dark.
Crazy winds I couldn't do a thing with today, saw plenty of squirrels, dove, woodpeckers and one lone coyote, came back down and the two pot roasts Wife loaded into the crock pot via the caveman recipe mid morning were hot and ready to eat, I'm full right now and warming my bones, about to shower and crash for the evening.
Took the savage 110 out for 5 hours. It got tired riding on my shoulder so I took it home. New skiff of tracking snow. 4 sets of tracks in 5 hours. Did see one nice doe with this year's fawn. Doe runofft but the fawn stayed and checked me out for 10 minutes getting within 10 feet at times. Good day hunting. No work involved!

Notice I didn't ask about the Doc? Mom's clearance way more important.
Me, we're taking the dogs to the field for a run, gotta keep Breeze the 30MPH 100 yard dash dog in shape ya know.
Then I come home and work on a tractor hose. Yippee!

Neighbor lady has a cow tag. Showed her where to set up and ambush a large brown ungulate.
Sure enough, just after sunset, a biggun' walked into the orchard to graze.
A bull, however. All by his lonesome.
Semper manana.
my neighbor lady.........
she ain't got an elk tag.......
Will you stop posting that pic please.
I've got stuff to do and it just makes me want to visit the basement.

Teri ran into the left rear quarter panel on our little car . I am off with a health issue and repaired it myself dusting off some old skills. Base coat clear going on today....
