I really like the old fingergroove sporter walnut stocks for feel. Too bad Urban Rifle Supply doesnt make copies anymore

Looking, at this time, more for a shorter/hunting stock than benchrest. Thank for some really good information.

Other than the factory Ruger deluxe sporter stock the MagPul hunter is the most natural feeling stock I've used. It's a very comfortable stock

I have a Hogue that you can have cheap, if you're interested. It is a new take-off from a 10/22 that I restocked for a friend. He had his gunsmith replace the factory stock, then decided that he didn't like the "feel" of the Hogue.
Ben Some days it takes most of the day for me to do practically nothing...
