That’s what I’d do. You know... for reaching “way” out there....

Jug...I’ll take that HH off your hands now that you’re derailed.

It is dumb, my bad, lotsa 300 wm, 30 nos factory loaded with 225’s, as that was part of the allure...

One post talks about a 230 will "flat hammer shiit". I didn't know they made a 230 in factory ammo?

I'm sure most guys that shoot a 338 edge use factory ammo........

I have a 300 prc. Is it a better long range cartridge then the 338 edge? No. Is it a better long range cartridge then the 30 nosler? No. Is there a chance a guy can get away with shooting a factory 225 ELD m out of it and not have to reload? Yes.

We used the 300 prc with 225 ELD m on an elk and an oryx this year. I won't be using the 225 anymore. I wasn't impressed.

Good luck with the build.

No love for the 225 eld? Killed my Oryx with a old school 338 225 interlock, always heard Oryx were tuff, one and done...😎

Also tried the staball6.5 and am way less than impressed. The 7-08AI’s will be burning H4350 under 162 eldx’s
The staball had some of the shïttest SD I’ve seen. Oh well was worth a try. I will use it to fire form cases until it’s gone.

A bit bummed to hear that about the 6.5 Staball.

What primers were used?

Local guy has some 26 although a bit spendy.

Got another 7-08ai that should be here soon and will give it another go but in the wife’s 7-08ai and this little model 7 7-08 it was not good.

Would be awesome if it worked in one of the three.
I’ll keep you posted if the new rifle likes it.
