You guys need to let up on her stammering. She's pretty old, and I can't even imagine trying to give a speech like that with the smell that must be coming off that string of anal beads draped around her neck.

Get it all out in the Senate, lets once and for all air the dirty laundry of the Swamp. Trump has already played the Swamp card to the public this morning. He was elected to drain the Swamp. Could be at the root of why she was so pale. I think at the end of this road we will find Hillary, Obama and Biden. The Dems had better be careful what they dig up.

I watched her speech. Not a whole lot of conviction there. Pelosi just gave 2020 to Trump. The GOP voter turnout and back lash will cost her the House. She is praying that her poll numbers showing the Dems holding the House are correct, but she has too many rookies in Trump Districts that will have to support this impeachment stuff. Trump is going to roll into those states and those districts and hold rallies and turn out at those will be bigger than ever.
Pelosi must call the vote or lose her Speakership. By calling for a vote, she condemns the Dems to lose the house and re-elects Trump which loses her Speakership. She allowed this to happen and I have no sympathy.
Pelosi just energized the Trump base far more than Trump could do himself.
Pelosi also just turned off quite a number of Independents. Independents are not clamoring for Trump to be impeached. They feel that if the country doesn't want him, he'll be voted out in 11 months. The wackos in her party backed her into this corner. Mueller did;t work out, and Schiff's Show didn't galvanize the country against Trump. This is triple down. This is "all in" poker with a pair of twos. Trump has a full house.Pelosi knows this is going NOWHERE in the Senate. As a matter of fact, with a united GOP in the Senate (for once) it could be very interesting to see who they call for witnesses (SCHIFF)? And what comes out of that (Perjury? Collusion?)
There is one point of satisfaction the Dems will get out of this even after they have a disaster next November. They will get revenge for the impeachment of bill Clinton. Even though Clinton did commit an indisputable crime (perjury), the Dems have wanted revenge. Well, now they will get it and it will cost them.
Pelosi will get the vote, the Senate will have Christmas break to formulate the strategy, and we will have a short trial and an acquittal. The only question is do they do the depositions privately, like most of the Clinton trial was, or publicly?
Brings into play Democratic Senators. Which ones up for re-election dare vote to remove a sitting President over a phone call? The Dems have gone full whacko mode. This will be a pleasure to watch that Party self destruct and then fall into an internal civil war to see who gains control of the Party - the North East and the classic West Coast liberals or the Far Left socialist/Progressives?
Good summary. Don't forget that the Senate Presidential Candidates cannot campaign during an impeachment trial. Now that's funny.

I'm not so sure a Senate trial will produce the results some are fantasizing about. What's to stop Schiff, Pelosi, the Bidens, etc from just pleading the 5th?
Biden has already said he won't testify.

You can plead the 5th all you want, that is obstruction without any executive privileges afforded such as Mulvaney, McGahn, etc., have. Pleading the 5th falls under obstruction and is a jail sentence until and in many cases the person does testify. Moreover anyone who outright takes the 5th is hiding something worth getting to. BTW this will really help Joe running for President and taking the 5th when it come to him and his son and brother’s corruption world wide. Ever hear of “opened up like a can of worms”. Don’t think that Trump’s lawyers won’t be ruthless, they will.

Biden has already said he won't testify. A 'no show' would make them look worse than they already do. Yep, the democrats have been backed into a corner all because of pure hate.. They are living in a glass house surrounded themselves with people who tell them daily they are doing a great job and this is what America wants..
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Nailed it. The Trump Juggernaut, steam rolling train is about to leave the station. It will show up in EVERY House race where there's a Dem in an R district. All this just energizes Trump, like waving a red flag in front of an enraged bull... Could get interesting. DF

Pleading the 5th falls under obstruction and is a jail sentence until and in many cases the person does testify... I believe that you should go back and revisit the 5th Amendment. To coerce testimony out of a person that would incriminate that person (such as charging them with obstruction for not testifying) would be a blatant violation of the 5th and the person(s) charging them would be subject to a Section 1983 violation which is punishable as a federal felony. Like it or not, that's the way the Constitution is written and has been applied for the last 243 years. Ed

Never go full retard, well the dems went full retard.. I just don't understand how second hand information or ones opinion can be used to try to impeach President? The dems cannot be that blind to know they will fail at this game. I hope majority of Americans feel like me today pissed at the Democrats for what they are doing to this country and our president. They decided to impeach and have been desperately seeking a reason for it. They still haven’t found justification so their going to lie. There is nothing wrong with investigating Biden’s apparent corruption in Ukraine and this investigation is going to require the cooperation of Ukraine. They are obligated by treaty to cooperate but given the recent history of Ukrainian corruption it’s just commonsense to use the leverage provided by our aid to Ukraine in order to ensure their cooperation.

Don’t think it will apply under impeachment can only claim the 5th if it is a criminal paneled grand jury or trial and you typically are one of the subjects for regarding self incrimination. In Civil and non criminal (this is impeachment) it has no merit and you can be held in contempt and very possibly jailed for not answering. Biden to claim the 5th would set himself up for future criminal prosecution of a possible crime, he has all right in the world to claim the 5th at that point, but runs a great risk to his future by not answering questions in an non criminal impeachment trial.
