Shot a nice 4x4 mulie in pikes peak national forrest oct 85.

Got a daughter nurse/ captain
Son in law SF Captain/ company commander
Stationed at Carson .

Renegade50, have you ever tried the Williams aperture with the brass ring? I think it's called a twilight aperture. I have them on an old 336C and an 1895. Works better than the plain black for me for hunting, especially in lower light. I think the Williams will fit your sight. Anyway, great looking setup.

If I go large with an apeature like the standard .090
The front sight post blurs bad for my eyesight.
I still lose 10 or 15 mins at dawn and dusk .
But honestly i have never shot a deer really super early like that.
I hunt very few evenings.
Usually call it a day between 12 to 2 30ish
So im out for possible midday movement
Kinda a trade off for not liking to hunt evenings.

Their is another one guys were talking about a year or so ago.
Had adjustable apearture sorta like a camera lens.
Twist it bigger and smaller.

Really looked quality made and functional.
