Squealer, what was the deer density then as compared to now. powdr

There seem's to be more now than back then.More younger buck's seem to be taken now,but the big boy's are still there strictly nocturnal.Here are a few checking their scrape's at night never seen in the daytime by 6 hunter's 8 straight day's!! Damn camera's.

Yup, the old smart ones are bedded down in deep cover before sunup and stay put until sundown.

I have similar pictures in my hunting area. You would swear they're aren't any big bucks around if it weren't for cameras. I sit during the day from before sunup to well after sundown, until there are blisters on my ass without seeing the deer I know are there.

Going to try again tomorrow

They are ghosts.

A tactic I employ while deer stand hunting is to toss out 6-10 plain yelps of a turkey a few times an hour.
It has a calming effect on the deer woods. When animals think turkeys are around it means it's safe with no predators.
If nothing else you may have some turkeys to watch.

Hound dogs will get them out of their beds.
