I was looking at a couple of alternative scopes to the Swaro and Nightforce with SFP turrets.

Can the SCHMIDT & BENDER Klassic 3-12x42mm (30mm Tube) Matte (#7) be retrofitted with Mil turrets like on some of their other models?

Thanks,
CL

I just received one from S&B with a mil elevation turret, so i would think a retrofit would be possible. I also had them set parallax at 200 yards. Have not mounted the scope yet but its impressive. I’m looking forward to hitting the range with it after deer season.

Yes but it does not give you much elevation on the turret. It’s either 1.6 mils or 3.2 mils depending on scope.

Someone had a lower variable power with turrets and a reticle upgrade I dragged my feet on for a great price. Still regret letting that one get past me. Don’t know if it was Mil turrets though.

I called Virginia asking the same question and they said it was possible to put turrets on it like the precision hunter scopes have. My understanding is they have limited adjustment range.

Yes very limited range as compared to PMII and others. Looks like this

Like others have said the Schmidt and Bender Precision Hunter only has 3.2 mils (about 11.5 MOA) total vertical travel. I had to use Burris Signature rings with the offset inserts to zero my 7mm Rem Mag and still have some adjustment for 600 yards with a 200 yard zero.

I would say forget about having the S&B Classic scope retrofitted with turrets and sell the scope and purchase a Nightforce NXS. My last three scopes have been NXS scopes and they work wonderfully.

Marty,
I bought the same...Realized my mistake, and stuck it on top of a varmint rig. Basically, a high end set & forget scope for me.

This is the email straight from Schmidt & Bender on 5/14/18

I think you mean a BDC. Right? So the costs thererfore are 226,20 Euro for one turret plus freight and VAT. You can choose between BDC for elevation or elevation and windage. The processing time are approx. 3 weeks.
