Yeah, when I was in grade school there was this kid I hated that hunted with a 257 bob and thought it was the best thing since Orville Redenbacher. Never could stand that cartridge after knowing him, still don't like it. When I hear people talk about how great it is, I think blah blah blah all while knowing it's a good round. Makes alot of sence don't it.

I wouldn't mind carrying one of Scenarshooters 6.5s if he would guide me to a Ram in the 'breaks. Or an Elk, or a Muledeer etc. Creedmost derangement syndrome is pretty funny.

Sometimes you just don't want to be associated with something because of the people who do it, even when not doing something is to your disadvantage. 6.5 CM is a perfect example. When I get one (and I will) I will never admit it to another soul.

This thread is solid gold, especially the part about slamming your dick in a sliding glass door. 😁😁😁 Not a concern if you wear your tactical kilt: Kilt, dress, what ever.

Pragmatically I knew they were a good bullet but a former friend beat everyone he knew over the head with the Barnes X bible. No matter the cartridge, if anyone suggested a cup and core bullet it seemed like he was right there to disparage the choice and laud the Barnes X. It has only been in recent years since disassociating myself from him that I have softened my stance on the Barnes X bullets. I actually load them in a rifle or two now. Baby steps.

seems the creedmoor. Sorry, the Creedmoor has thrown the islamic world out of synch. they traditionally face the East, or the direction of the rising sun for their prayers.
The sun now rises (and sets) over the nearest Creedmoor throwing all sorts of traditional stuff in the crapper. Who knew???

I hope some of you boys never listen to men go on and on about how great pussy is. I gave that up too. With the abundance of midget porn available on the internet, why bother with all that foreplay, making them feel beautiful, and cuddling when you can just knock back a couple 45ers, sign on for a minute or two then drift off into a nice coma-like sleep?

I own, reload and shoot 23 different center-fire calibers and have multiple rifles in over half of the calibers. I have enjoyed hunting with the .22 Hornet, .25-20, .30-30, .32-20, .30 Rem, 30-40 Krag, .300 Savage, .405 and 45-70 over the years. I've also hunted with most of the more modern rounds and have taken my two best whitetails with the 113 year old .30-06.That caliber is two years older than the model T. Some things can actually be improved with modern design. To be honest, most of the pissing and moaning I hear about the virtues and liabilities of the the Creedmor is almost strictly from the people on this board. Honestly, most people should just let it go. If driving a Model T and using a older caliber is your game, more power to you. Still enjoy it myself on occasion. If someone wants to try something with a little more engineering and more modern twist with caliber, been there and done that also. Hell, I even bought a Cooper 21 in the Campfire made famous .223AI caliber. This is the first time I have ever admitted that to anyone, wasn't as bad as the thread made it out to be come to think about it. I also used an old 700 ADL .270 for probably a decade as my main deer rifle, didn't seem to effect my masculinity in the way it appears to of had some here. I haven't looked at that old rifle in years, they where some good times in my early deer hunting years.

If you are ever bored, go to the gun counter at Academy, ask to see one and ask the clerk to tell you about it. Or just stay at home and slam your dick in the sliding glass door. It'll be less painful.
Dude, don't ever ask the employees about anything at Academy. If you really need to handle a firearm there, pretend to be deaf/mute and just point or gesture. ...And make certain to not make eye contact!😉

Dude, don't ever ask the employees about anything at Academy. If you really need to handle a firearm there, pretend to be deaf/mute and just point or gesture. ...And make certain to not make eye contact!😉 They opened a new Academy Sports in Elizabethtown ,KY a couple of years ago. Went in there to buy a basketball backboard for my wife's son. Went back to the firearm counter and spotted a .410 O/U with just outstanding wood grain in the stock that stood out from everything else on the rack. I got to talking to the counter help and was surprised how friendly and eager to talk hunting and firearms they where. Not over bearing or know it all, just good back and forth. Left there with the shotgun and it has become one of my favorite dove guns. Went back about a month later and you could see the life had been beaten out of the same guys. The guys behind the counter probably tell the same stories about the customers as the customers tell about them. If you have to talk to the counter help about what you want to buy in a firearm, you probably don't really need to be buying it anyway. You just need them to get the yellow sheets filled out and to accept payment.

I bought my first 6.5 Creedmoor many years ago before the chambering developed a cult following. As its cult status has developed and gained momentum, so too have the legions of idiots that rally around it. Seems everywhere I go there are fawning sycophantic roundmouths spewing bile about it. It has really gotten so bad that I have divested myself of all three of the 6.5 Creedmoors I had previously enjoyed.
I know that sounds extreme, but in casual conversation with some decent, educated rifle loonies I'd mention my Creedmoors. The look of abject fear on their faces said it all. A good chat would come to an uncomfortable close. They'd switch topics. They'd pull out their cell phones and pretend they had an urgent text. A look on their face would say "Dear God, please don't let this guy talk to me."
I was standing at the gun counter in Cabelas asking to see the Tikka T3X in 6.5 Creedmoor. The counter clerk immediately begins telling me about what an awesome 1000 yard caliber it is. I asked him if there seemed to be a lot of demand in our area for 1000 yard deer rifles. He was prepared. He mentioned a few power lines and gas lines a couple parishes away, saying that with a good Vortex Strike Eagle you could dial the drop right in to connect. I asked how much a 140 grain bullet would drift in a 10 MPH crosswind over the course of the 1000 yard flight. He he stuttered and stammered a bit before muttering something unintelligible, then turned his attention to a skinny jeans wearing 20 something year old with a Grizzly Adams beard and a man bun who had walked up and stood close enough that his flannel shirt was touching me. Their conversation started with Mr. man bun remarking that he had heard the 6.5 Creedmoor was the flattest shooting round ever developed. That was months ago. They are probably still talking.
It's everywhere. The lunacy is pervasive and contagious. Last night on Facebook my bud posted a pic of a 3 shot group he'd fired with his new 257 Weatherby. He had sighted it in 2 inches high at 100. Never mentioned what bullet, what bullet weight, whether or not it was a handload or what velocity. Not that it really matters relative to the Creedfag's comments that followed. Here are the Creedmagic fan club member's comments for you to enjoy.
"2 inches high at 100 yards would make it way high at 300 yards. Should have bought a 6.5 creedmoor"
My bud responded by posting a trajectory table with a 200 yard zero. That elicited this this jewel:
"I have shot mine over 1000 yards. Not worried about ballistics."
The guy was serious too. Sadly his affliction is not at all uncommon. I can only pray that the cockweasles don't start rallying around the 6.5 PRC.
I agree... https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/13566122
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Do you Nancy's get equally uptight when a gal uses a different nail polish than you do?
Seriously, nothing better to be upset about than the fact that a well designed cartridge became popular. Screw the impeachment when we got worse things to worry about like people owning creedmoors....
I'd like to hope most of this thread is tongue in cheek but it really looks like it's more sand in vag.
