When the daughter's family arrives we are going to the candlelight service at seven. Then back here for soup.
Any members headed to church tonight? Wobigoon, Enjoy the services with your family. I'm observing my Christmas Eve tradition, wrapping presents for my kids with a good bottle of wine. This year I had an extra special treat, my 7th grade daughter decided to make homemade eggnog. Best I've ever had. (and yes, maybe I'm just a weee bit biased)...... Merry Christmas!

We attended the 9:00 service, the sanctuary seats 900 and with extra added seating 1,000. The overflow watches via big screen TV in the banquet hall, always a very special meaningful service.

Our church, Baptist, does not have services on Christmas Eve, and I don't know of any of the other nearby Baptist churches that do. Until the Methodists became too liberal for me, we attended a UMC church, and they did have services.
Personally, I like the idea of Christmas Eve services, as I think it adds a real meaning to the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

My Mom, the two oldest kids, and my Father in Law went to church a few minuets ago.
Wife is busy cooking, Bean is watching Road Runner and I just got done sewing up a leather pliers sheath. (wife's Christmas present) Pics!

I had to deal with a female “minister” one time at a Presbyterian country church.
I was about 45ft up straddling a 12/12 pitch roof, reflashing around their steeple.
Had about 20 red wasps getting after me and not damn thing I could do but swat em. No where to run on a 12/12.
Bitch from way down in the parking lot says “you tell those wasps that you have dominion over them”
What an idiot, I told her it’d be best if she left in case a hammer slide was to off the roof.
