Congratulations! My wife's first deer was also with a 243. A big Doe, processor said 300#'s live weight. A Northern Minnesota Whitetail. She did not have s good shot, behind a tree. She hit the Doe 6 times in the rear haunch.. Got the deer but the rear haunch was totaled. Heard her shoot, then after 4 shooting again. Ran right over there..

Did you back Judy up with the 460? No,I was off somewhere else waiting for some pigs to show up.
How do you like the 243 game changer? It broke the shoulder and exited, from how it was explained to me the deer was quartering towards her when she shot it. She likes the bullet. smile
What powder and velocity? RL-16 and 3102 fps average.
Barry is a nice guy. Yes,he is.
Congrats to you both! Thank you. smile

I heard one shot and as time went on I did not hear another,so I figured she made a good shot.

Congrats to Judy on both the turf and surf eats she got...πŸ‘πŸ»

Ken, you were totally unrecognizable with that little rifle. No rabbits were harmed on this trip, but a good buck nonetheless.

Nice job Barry, especially for showing Ken how to shoot a peashooter. 😬😎

Looks like fun all around !

Now if you use 460s and other such large calibers for Jack Rabbits and 270s for deer, does that mean you use 22 hornets for Moose?
