The drought that has been ongoing is as bad as anything I've ever seen. AU is historically dry in many parts, but this is incredibly bad.
There are 2 rules to success:

That’s unreal Dan. This is so catastrophic for the people (hopefully not JStuart). Australia also has so many unique wildlife species that are having such a tough go of it. If they survive, their habitats are being decimated. Just unreal.

Australia has always had periodic seasonal wildfires, often very bad. A lot of the ecosystems are adapted to wildfires. But the current fires are worse than usual
