If it was in fact a VXII, it would say Leupold on the turret, instead of the gold emblem.
It's either a seller that doesn't know what they have, or a scammer. Either way, I'd run.
Yeah, the owners manual and cloth may be genuine, but that means nothing. True that^^^. Stay away. Edit: Looking at the Cabelas and Midway sites, the Leupolds do have that gold emblem and/or "Leupold" on the side. Fugk, who knows!

For sure a fake. Leupold never offered the VXll of VX2 with a mil dot reticle unless it was a Mark AR or from the custom shop which I highly doubt . Most of the fakes on ebay I have seen are all mil dot as well.

Definitely a fake. I bought one basically identical to it about a year ago on Ebay, then returned it. Wrong turrets, power ring, and reticle. Complained about the seller, Ebay didn't do [bleep] about it.

best thread brings up kind of again what I wonder quite often. Those it talk about such a [bleep] Leupold Scope they got makes me wonder if it was a real Leopold or not

Thanks, Dinny An "X" suffix would be from 2012, the first year that Leupold changed from the VX-II to the VX-2. I have a 2-7x33 Leupold knock-off that has an "X" suffix, 434670X.

Vx-II scopes have field click adjustments, not finger click like VX-2.
The turret covers look too high.
I would say it's a fake.

I didn't have a chance to call Leupold but the seller called me back today. He's a nice enough guy who says he got it from his BIL. He emailed Leupold and is awaiting a reply. Seems he's gonna be out some money if it's a fake. Who's bringing some popcorn to the show?
