I have a 1967 Oliver 1850 diesel. I was considering selling it this spring. Maybe I should hang onto it a while longer.

I don’t know about ag tractors, but the Kubota utility tractors 50-70 hp made before the emissions stuff started changing seem to appreciate about $1k per year.

I don’t know about ag tractors, by the Kubota utility tractors 50-70 hp made before the emissions stuff started changing seem to appreciate about $1k per year. If we could buy brand new M9000's I don't think we would buy anything else!

Wow! I got money in the bank on rubber tires. These 4 fit the 1980 and under category. International 574 ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/D7OBRJv.jpg) We have a 574 just like that. My grandfather bought it new. It's had one engine overhaul. Anymore, it's mostly used it to move hay wagons and to brush hog along a couple fence rows with low hanging branches. They have great fenders for riding on. I spent countless hours on one as a tot. There's a nice little spot for your feet behind the shifters. The 574 has been on the farm since my Uncle bought it new in the 1970s. I consider it a flat-land tractor and I bought a 4WD to work the hills, but the 574 is still on the farm. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/h5x059l.jpg) Dad has had a 574 with a loader since the 80s. Great loiader tractor, good hydraulics and stable. Pretty worthless for traction. But then we never use it without the loader, That would help.

My latest is the 90 4055
Of them all the little 4055 is a gem...it has the 466 engine that the 46 and 48 have only smaller turbo injectors ect..
It's set at like around 115 hp..it sips fuel and is pretty snotty for its rating...it will defiantly out work and out pull the 4430.. It does most of the hay work grain vac ...I'm thinking about getting a kinze econo fold 12 row for just corn...
It is really the cadalic of the jd series before the crap started with all the computers...
55 series tractors around here are untouchable for the most part...
Won't be any computer tractors on this farm the combine is enough for me...my dad has a 7330 that has codes stored on a regular basis..we just ignore them for the most part...half the time it's in limp mode...so it stays just a loader tractor...I wish he would get rid of it...

True... The farm I work part-time for has the majority of their tractors from the early-to-mid '90s... No DEF, simple operations, rugged as hell and definitely cheaper to repair/overhaul...

Even a 1972 IH 1066 can cost big bucks to keep going. Still cheaper than the new ones... The farm has one of those too.. It's seen a LOT of use, but that old girl keeps on chugging along.. Biggest pita with those (and that series) is when the shifting's not done correctly it can lock up the transmission.. Then the driver just has to get off, move that part (can't recall the name) that switches between ranges over about an inch and then everything's fine again.. I had similar issues on an IH 806 I used to own until '84... But those units are true workhorses and still bring a hefty price when up for sale..

Been looking here for a tractor to run a 5' tiller for food plots, what do you guys recommend? I not partial to any brand. Seems like any tractor around here sells in minutes.
