JNY, most likely it is the result of cookies on your phone or computer, not watching the forum, though doubtless that happens too. Clear cookies and browzing history often to keep spam down. Use a browser such as startpage for browzing to avoid picking up more advertising cookies too.

It is also considered one of the most private ones on the internet.

Lots of advice, most good.
I'll say again, use a tracker blocker. Ghostery works for me.
Right now it is blocking Amazon Associates, Facebook Connect, Google Publisher Tags, Google Tag Manager, and Twitter Button.
Try it, you'll like it.
