I saw Coe a few years back when I lived in Raleigh. Had made the full-on biker turn... so the crowd really was hippies, cowboys, and bikers...

It was at the Sam Houston Coliseum, Houston, Texas. KPFT Radio Pacifica put on the show. It was he and Kinky Friedman w/ the Texas JewBoys. DAC at that time billed himself as the Mysterious Rhinestone Cowboy. Ya! GWB
