There's nothing like a good double set on a Mauser to make the world right in all ways. Just the way things are supposed to be.

But it's got to be a GOOD double-set.

Since you don't have the gun already, honestly you should keep an eye out for a nice commercial ANYTHING Mauser sporter, then put a Timney on it. Higgins, Husky, FN, whatever 1960's sporter. But if you had a vintage Mauser sporter with old-style double sets, to take that off would be a travesty.
