Wabi, it started here about two hours ago. Coming down pretty good, but very fine snowflakes. 'Got the snowblower all ready to go when it lets up. We're supposed to get snow until late tomorrow afternoon.
Just got back home from Eureka. Eureka is only about 20 miles from here, as the crow flies (about 30 miles if the crow is driving a car), in the same valley and at the same altitude. Nonetheless, it is 18 degrees warmer there than here. Lovely day; sunny and warmish. Supposed to snow another few inches tomorrow. GD
Winter was very late getting here, but caught up some this week anyway. I love it. Brushed the ol truck off for a dump run today; didn’t even put the snows on yet this year.

Golldammed motion detector lights. A guy can’t even piss off his porch in peace any more.

Jeff, I hear about standing corn in deep snow in Minnesota.
Lots of standing corn, we got 4 inches of fluffy snow on Tuesday, wind is gusting to 60mph from the south and we are supposed to get another 4-8 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon. But the wind is gonna switch around to the north and blow just as hard.
We got 2" of fresh powder in the mountains over 7k'. Good place for it. I love skiing and tracking on fresh snow but would hate to have to shovel it out of my driveway. On the other hand, August in the desert is less than awesome.
