How does anyone know they don't just take your money and make up some fake BS?
There's no way to confirm the vague information they give you.

I read somewhere that nationality on these tests is determined by statistical analysis.
Now we all know what some lies can be told by statistics.
But the point is the more people that get it done the more accurate the analysis becomes.
I don’t know if I believe that but it sure sounds important and educated.

There's no way to confirm the vague information they give you. I read a review some time back that a guy sent in a saliva sample from his pet dog to one of those places. If I remember right, Fido came back as being Irish.

Got my results back, no major surprises. 99% European with 57% Irish/English, 8% Czech and 16% French/German(predominantly from Saxony, just over the Czech border). I had heard a story that I had an ancestor on my paternal grandmothers line that was either a native woman or an escaped slave girl many generations back, nobody was sure which anymore...came back .02% Native American.

Brother had a run done. Seems we're Scotch and central European. Nailed us down to a region of several million square miles with no royal attachments.
Seems the outfits are quite willing to share what most thought would be personal data, so now the Feds will at least have some chance of running down the crooks in our extended family
