No, I'm not going to post a photo of the target! Hey, anybody got anything interesting Savage-wise to talk about? There's a key fob I guess it's called, on eBay. Not sure it's Savage but the seller claims it is, that's all that matters right? LOL https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sterling-Savage-Arms-Chief-Arrowhead-FOB/153797872381?hash=item23cf114afd:g:360AAOSwMTFeH4-s

Fob link: fleabay Should pair well with Joe's Savage Orange. There is an R butt plate on ebay. Hard to find at a fair price. I'm sure a lot of you have seeen the windage Stith with the butchered rear ring? A little hard to tighten on the scope tube after that. The seller offered a big discount down to 250 when I pointed that out to him. Think I'll have some more coffee...

They were calling for about 5 inches here. I parked my 27HP 47" snow blower at the top of the drive. Temps stayed right about 33 and all we got was rain. I'm tellin ya, snow is afraid of that thing.

Gene is going to post some pics of my lyman tang sight this afternoon. He said he's never seen one like this before and is kinda excited. He's trying to clean up the pics I emailed him. Big thanks to gene for doing this for me.

Well, we got 8" of fresh powder snow here in central NH. And I picked up a really nice shape Stevens 325C in 30-30 yesterday. No cracks, chips, rust, or extra holes. I gotta say, for an inexpensive rifle, I really like the critter. I'm gonna work up a light recoil load with cast bullets and do some plinking at the range.. Cleaned up the 1958 EG in 250-3000 I snagged too, looks mighty Purdy I must say...

I hit a couple of pawn shops today, but all I saw were Savage 10s, 110s, etc all with synthetic stocks.

Spent most of my day dealing with snow in the driveway and removing ice dams. Now measuring carriers to figure out why this damn 250-3000 doesn't want to hold more than 4 cartridges.

Nothing much to report on the Savage front. I did score a sweet Martini Model 12 this morning. Nicest one I ever did see- and I've seen a bunch of them. Price was a lot less than typical GB prices, plus it has the Parker-Hale #7 sight, with diopter.
A week or two ago someone posted a GB link for me to see regarding a WWI heavy web canvas Springfield rifle case. Minty condition, with a .$01 opening bid. I was the only person to bid which meant I got it for a penny! Only time that ever happened to me.

Well I just bought a factory butt stock, trigger guard and parts to fix my safety on ebay for my 20-gauge 420 shotgun and paid a total of $61.45 for the entire haul. And it was all from the same seller so that will help with shipping. And now I'm waffling on a Remington Rolling Block....

Had to go to my Son's house in Eugene, that he's trying to sell, and check to see if it was ok. Mission accomplished. You guys seem to of had more fun than I did. Loggah will be busy for a long time, might not hear from him for a while. Fireball2 swung and missed at a hanging curve ball.

So ends another day of winter doldrums here in the east. You guys in the sunny midwest and balmy west coast and the hotcha-cha southwest still have some time left in the day to get up to some mischief.

Joe Is that the one that looks like brand new. If so, I was thinking about asking him to bring it to Noxen last year. But, knowing me, I'd beat it up getting it out of the safe. It would be happier at your house.

My press is in our unheated, detached garage. So I loaded up some 300 Savage and 375 Win with a Lyman 310 tool. Interesting note: I had called Lyman and asked if the 310 38-55 dies would work for 375 Win ... they thought about it, and said should work fine, so I picked up a set of 38-55 dies. The 310 tool does not full-length size, just sizes the neck. The 38-55 neck is just tad narrower than the 375 Win. Neck sized, and then expanded the neck just enough to set the bullet in the mouth and then seated with the seating die. Worked just fine. Now, if it will just warm up enough to shovel out the bench and shoot ... -15F this morning. I plan on star-gazing tonight to try to see the train of 60 satellites fly by that Elon Musk's Starlink program launched on 1/6. Another launch is planned for later today that will put up other 60. If all goes well, we might be able to watch Netflix and Hulu by this fall (we have satellite internet now, but limited to 50GB a month). Oh, last night I was going to grill a steak, but opted for cold cuts.

Started hanging a piece of peg board in my little work area to clean up some of the mess. It's going on the outside vault wall. Darn concrete screws kept breaking so I didn't get far.

Until we get the second floor drywall hung ( where my indoor workshop/gunroom is going to be ) I've been using a Lee reloading stand in the living room. Not too expensive, doesn't take up much room and is easy to move out of the way. Had to make a plate for my RCII press but I've really grown to like the stand.

I'm still looking for a Brayton Tubeless Scope for a Savage... Gene, Someone at the first fest had one of those. DGF or FUG maybe? It was the first I'd ever seen. Very cool! I played with it a little. The biggest problem I could see is with the sun at your back. Please keep us posted!
