Have a model 94 30-30 that I picked up with the possible thought of switching the 20" round barrel to a 26" octagon barrel and forend. Any thoughts or perceived complications would be appreciated. Is it simply a matter of finding the parts and replacing the barrel forend and feed tube? Thanks.

You might ask in the gunsmith forum

I prefer classic.

I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally
