Condolences to the families of the deceased, they are suffering a huge loss and are changed for the rest of their life. Holidays will be meaningless, birthdays and anniversaries will be reminders and sorrowful. As far as the dead, they're dead, no speculation, wishful thinking, rationalizing, second guessing will change that, they are gone from this world forever.
When I die there is a limited small number of people it will actually affect, there is a broader number that will feel a moment of emotion and the rest of mankind won't know or really care, That's as it should be, life is math and that's the numbers of it.
Kobe was known to a billion people at least, that's his math when it comes to coverage, and as it should be. Fame isn't a curse I would want, I like my world small and relationships few, but ya, Kobe dying is world stage news.

All I know is, 2 of our guys just got killed in Afghanistan, 3 of our volunteers to Australia got killed trying to put out those fires, countless cops have been shot, attacked, dumped on or killed in the line of duty, all in the last couple weeks, and not a word of remorse or consoling of the families left behind from the mainstream media.
