The population is easy enough to look up, if you're interested. Has nothing to do with the size of the greater metropolitan area, and everything to do with the size of the city of St. Louis.

The city of St Louis has enjoyed the leadership of a Democrat Mayor every day since 1949.

St Louis's population demographics are 46.92% African American, 46.25% White, and 3.4 percent Asian.

St. Louis earned the title of deadliest city in America with a murder rate of 60.9 per 100,000 in 2018. In that year, 186 were slaughtered in the city of a population of about 318,000.

Baltimore, Detroit, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans get a honorable mention.

What do these cities have in common ???????????????????????

I lived across the river and attended St Louis Univ. But that was a while ago; I graduated in 1969. I commuted, and the drive through East St Louis was harrowing. There was no interstate through it then, and I had to navigate surface streets. The Missouri side back then was a lot safer, but not every part of it. East was one big slum, literally.

Both sides of the river are and always have been Democrat strongholds. I was raised "D" but back then it meant being liberal in the original sense. That meant almost the opposite of what it means now. It stood for individual freedom and lack of enforced behavior. Ironic to the point of sick humor by today's "liberal" philosophy.

I left the entire area the day after graduation when I went to flight school. Have only been back once and having seen what has become of it, will never go back again.

The population number sounds correct. But that is just for the city. St. Louis county has over 1 million, but that isn't included in the statistics. Most people don't want to live in the city. High crime, higher taxes, terrible schools and a St. Louis Circuit Attorney’ Kim Gardner that has a conviction rate of about 7%, she does have a 100% employee turn over rate. She doesn't like the police and doesn't want to prosecute the ethnic people.

Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

Rocky, my family were all Truman Democrats. But after going to a bit of college and some school of hard knocks I knew the Democrats of the 70s were going the wrong way. They were in La La land in the 60s inacting entitlements and socialist medicine. Social Security looked good to folks having gone through the Depression. I think all the above were bad in the long run for the American people. But as usual the largest problem in the cities is the Dindus. I don't care what anyone thinks after my 23 years working custody in prison and 9 of those years transporting them sometimes one on one, I think the Dindus are still tribal after 100s of years away from the Dark Continent. Many of them will do anything to you they want to and have no conscience about it. It's OK as long as they do it to you. A form of Narcissism maybe. But don't you dare do any of those things to them. They will cry, scream or anything else including cry to their Momma. Hardened in Misery, Be Well, Rustyzipper.

Wouldve thought St Louis was much, much bigger than 318,000.

Guess I’m out of touch.

Just looked at our balance numbers for Nashville, were 690,000 not including 5 satellite cities within Davidson Co

St Louis is rough though, lots of n-iggs. Don’t be on Natural bridge road after sundown.

I believe the majority of the "white" population consist of the Bosnians that were brought here during Dick Gepharts days. St. Louis has one of the highest Bosnian populations per capita of the major cities. It gets interesting when the Bosnian gangs go at it with the wanna-be crips/ bloods, etc.

The city was once a thriving city. The population was much higher. Now with all the "white flight" the white people got the hell out of the city and it is a financial disaster. Towns like St. Charles grew huge and the county grew. Except north county. North city and north county are the worst areas. You can draw you own conclusions why.

It’s easy to see

Except for people like, say residents of Salmon Idaho

They’ll never understand the idiom, give a white man a stack of bricks and he’ll build a building, give a negro a building and he’ll reduce to a pile of bricks.

Chitcago didn't make the list. Damn, you would think the weekends with 30-40 hood shootings would at least get an honorable mention, or a "most improved"

Statistical convenience.

Chicago could have as many as twice the number of deaths, but the population washes the sampling.

You need to quick picking on Idaho, they can't help it if there's more bigfoot sightings than Negro ones.
