Update..
Finally found a store than had Altra in 12 in stock.
Lucky me, lone peak 4.0 in a 12 was on the clearance shelf.
$75.
Went 3.25 miles this eve. So far they are comfy and lite.

That is a great price. The zero drop feels a little odd at 1st but I forgot about it on my 1st hike. I also found that I didn't need a different insole.

The zero drop does indeed feel different. I like it.
Altra toe box is indeed wide. I normally wear 2ee size. These fit no problem.

Altra toe box is indeed wide. I normally wear 2ee size. These fit no problem. Gadzooks! Sounds like the Altra's are the ticket for the size of your foot. Please give an update when you've spent some longterm time with them...
