I was just having a little fun at Ethan's expense when I made the post this morning..
One thing he stated that did give me pause was when he said "they didn't have their phones". I am assuming they have become some what cell phone dependent for navigation?
I recall back in the days after I found my GPS to be a dependable navigation aid I'd just punch in my waypoints and away I'd go. It didn't take long before I'd stopped taking notice of the basic physical landmarks and such that I'd normally always mentally logged when traveling into new areas.
Maybe something similar goin' on there?

I hate to rely on a phone, because there are so many things that can go wrong.
But they are an amazing tool. Have saved lots of fuel and steps.
