They own the Triangle Ranch in Texas. Close to 200,000 acres.

According to the WSJ article the Vatican / Catholic Church has an estimated wealth value of $50 Billion - The LDS Church: $100 Billion. What does this tell you: The Catholics should hire the Mormons to manage their money.

Apples cash on hand $200 billion. Mormons should hire Bezos to manage their money

Amazon, maybe?

yes, sorry about that , trying to 10 things at once.

while we are here,,, Ever wonder about the big deal with Amazon and NYC that fell through.

Hmmm wonder why Amazon is starting a new division in SLC?

They need the money. Lots of it.

To cover the abuse lawsuits.

I think you have them confused for another denomination

the reported reason for the NYC collapse was due to AOC

bet somebody came along with a deal, involving tax rebates on capital developments, no labor unions, no port duties, no hassle zoning etc.

That kind of money buys a lot of power and influence. That it's in the hand of a cult should give anyone pause.

Maybe it costs a lot of dough to build those spaceships though?

That's a load of crap. The Catholic church are the largest non-governmental land owners in the world. Their art collection is probably worth a good $20 billion by itself. Then there's their archives which hold tens of thousands of "priceless" artifacts. They probably have 2-3 billion dollars invested in just Boston.

Would you rather it be in the hands of the Babtist Cult, or the Catholic Cult, or the Presbyterian Cult, or the Lutheran Cult, or the Assembly of God Cult??????

Here's a story about the local Catholic diocese (I was raised a Catholic). A local parish priest and parish bookkeeper were convicted of embezzlement. The priest's brother, also a priest, offered him a place to stay when he got out of prison. The diocese, with no evidence, suspended the brother priest and called in the FBI to investigate him. They also notified all the local newspapers. The FBI found no wrongdoing but the diocese still had another priest ride shotgun on the parish for a year. When they think you're stealing their money, they go after you like a rabid dog. If you diddle altar boys, they hush things up and protect you. What does that tell you about their priorities?

I believe I know of every significant landowner on the Uncompahgre. I don’t think the Mormon Church is one, even as some sort of vague corporate shell. Certainly not of any significance at least. Doesn’t mean they don’t own any lands in Colorado, just not around here at any major scale at least.

Is it larger that the Queen of England, who is officially a church, just curious?

What ever the dollar figure is, the books and materials stole from Alexandria held in the Vatican are worth far more than any dollar figure.

Could have been in the Delta/Montrose area, haven't been back there in 25 years.

Make tithing one of the requirements of reaching the upper world or gaining access to the central temple, and one should reap some significant income.

A fair presence in our neighborhood. A super emphasis on family, they take care of one another, and they do keep score.

4 Million active members estimated of about 12 million on the records. 10% tithing adds up. Most people don't put 10% into retirement savings.

The Mormon Church is supposed to be the owners of Safeway and Albertsons, and they are plugged into a lot of other stuff..

Look into Intermountain Health Care, and see how many Associate and Member hospital systems are connected with their system.....they are the supply chain for the majority of the Hospitals and Health Care Systems in the Rocky Mountain States and the West Coast.....

I am sure they are into a lot more businesses than just that....the Mormons are not dummies when it comes to business, and they have a lot of money that flows into their coffers from 'donations' in the collection plates every Sunday....

the Rogue Valley here in Southern Oregon, was built on Orchards, back in its early days....Not as profitable as it once was locally a lot of the older Orchards have sold out to other companies... the Mormon Church owns a batch of them locally nowadays..
they get a lot of volunteer labor, which doesn't hurt their bottom line whatsoever.
