We have an Albertson's. 75 miles to wally world 1 way 100 the other. 215 to Costco but we stock when we go. 1 local outfit that is really high priced. Albertson's here is very expensive also. living in the sticks but I love it not many people. A little south and east of Sam.

In Panama City there was a Lucky's Market. They had "Shop and Sip" on thursday, where you get a tall glass of craft beer for 79 cents, put it in a specially built drink holder that hangs on the side of your cart. Other than that it was like Trader Joes. In Texas, HEB is by far the best. Fishing tackle is sold there, along with great deals on meats, beer and wine. In Port Aransas, there was an AR 15 being raffled by the police dept in the local grocery. Here in Colo. there is Whole Foods, where a chicken could cost more than twenty bucks, and the staff smell like patchoulie oil.

I forgot about Publix, although I have to cross the state line and go to Tennessee to shop at one. They are very nice stores compared to the others. We sometimes buy a few things from Sams. Although we usually buy groceries from Walmart, I prefer Krogers. My wife likes Walmart, so that's where we usually go.
There is a Mennonite owned "grocery" store only a couple of miles from me. They have the kinds of things that the Mennonites like to buy.......bulk flour, large bags of such items like sugar, all kinds of seasoning in the bulk, and a large deli that sells a larger selection of meat and especially cheers that you normally don't find in a grocery store. We buy some things there.......deli meat and cheese, and some of my wife's baking supplies. The prices are very good, but you also need to check dates on such things as canned goods, because they do buy some out of date things, and then resell them.

Kroger, IGA, and that’s it! I don’t count Walmart as a grocery.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

Winco is the biggest around here. Then Walmart a close second, then Costco, Albertson's, Kroger, Smiths, Western Family and a small family run one called Swensen's.

Walmart of course.
Piggly Wiggly seems to mostly be in small towns, I guess they’ll contract with small family owned groceries to put their name on them. One small town store near me has named several different things and now it’s a piggly wiggly, same owners all along though.
We still have a few Winn Dixies around.
Far and away Publix is my favorite, I can live out of their deli section. We don’t have any HEB around me but I’ve been in a bunch in Texas and they’re very good, they remind me of Publix a lot. I still prefer Publix though.
